The first vampire, Vlad III Drăculea, was transformed into a vampire following a deadly encounter with a hybrid demonoid dragon. This battle led to the process known as "Draculfication," where the bitten are transformed into vampires over 2-3 days—a fate distinct from the scholarly pursuit of "vampireology," which involves the study and veneration of vampiric entities.

Powers and Abilities

• The Veil: An ability fueled by their consumption of blood, granting vampires enhanced power and vitality. This ability is pivotal to their survival and the enhancement of their supernatural prowess.

• Vulnerabilities: Susceptible to holy water and Worzien blood; the former causes searing pain and burns, while the latter can be lethal in sufficient quantities.

• Longevity: Vampires can live for centuries, with their cursed lineage holding the potential for even longer lifespans.

Society and Culture

Vampires often integrate into human societies, staying hidden to avoid detection. Their need for blood, if not satiated, can lead them to a "blooded" state, transforming them into uncontrollable predators. They exhibit certain behaviors when agitated or threatened, such as a change in vocal tone, finger twitching, and a menacing posture, signaling the onset of an attack.
